49ers To Re-Sign Wide Receiver to a One-Year Deal. club gives Reason
The San Francisco 49ers have announced the re-signing of wide receiver Chris Conley to a one-year deal, adding depth and experience to their receiving corps.
Standing at 6-foot-3 and weighing 205 pounds, Conley was originally drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the third round of the 2015 NFL Draft. Throughout his nine-year NFL career, he has donned the jerseys of various teams including the Chiefs (2015-2018), Jacksonville Jaguars (2019-2020), Houston Texans (2021-2022), Tennessee Titans (2022), and most recently, the San Francisco 49ers in 2023.
In his career spanning 117 games, with 63 starts, Conley has amassed 220 receptions for 2,922 yards and 15 touchdowns. His contributions extend to the postseason as well, having appeared in eight playoff games, including two starts, where he has recorded 10 receptions for 96 yards and one touchdown.
During the 2023 season with the 49ers, Conley appeared in eight games, securing three receptions for 69 yards. His presence was also felt in the postseason, where he played in three games, tallying two receptions for 35 yards.
A native of Dallas, Georgia, Conley showcased his talents at the University of Georgia, where he played for four seasons from 2011 to 2014. During his collegiate career, he hauled in 177 receptions for 1,938 yards and 20 touchdowns, laying the foundation for his successful transition to the professional ranks.
With his blend of size, experience, and postseason pedigree, Conley brings a valuable asset to the 49ers’ receiving corps as they aim to compete at the highest level in the upcoming season.
