Justice Mostyn said the public could be told that the pair were involved in litigation and he is due to make another ruling on what other details can be revealed in the near future.

Liam met Nicole in 2000 when he was the frontman of Oasis and she was a member of All Saints.

The couple welcomed their son, Gene, in 2001 and later went on to marry on Valentine’s Day in 2008.

However the marriage came to an end after news broke that Liam had fathered a child with American journalist Liza Ghorbani in 2013.

Earlier this year it was reported that Liam had become weighed down by court battles and finalising his divorce.
