Segura pitched 6.0 innings and struck out 5 while issuing 4 walks. Adilson Peralta (0.00) pitched 2.0 innings striking out 4 and walking one. Josbel Garcia (4.50) pitched 1.0 inning striking out two.The Phillies took the scoring pressure off early with a run in the first inning on an RBI single by Guillermo Rosario and a run in the second on a solo HR by Jorge Mendez (.200/1.000). They added 2 runs in the sixth on a 2-run triple by Juan Villavicencio (.125/.597). And, they added an insurance run in the seventh on an RBI single by Aroon Escobar.
Lehigh Valley (13-22) beat Syracuse, 3-2. David Buchanan (3-2, 3.89) pitched 6.2 innings allowing just 2 runs on 7 hits and 3 walks with 5 strike outs. Both runs scored on solo HRs. Ryan Burr (2.45) stranded two inherited runners and pitched 1.1 innings walking one and striking out two.
