The Green Bay Packers will head into the 2024 season looking to take back the NFC North. In recent years they have seen the Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions take the division. The future of this team certainly looks capable of competing with not only their division, but with the entire league.
According to a Staff Writer on Inside The Vikings:
Everson Griffen, the former Minnesota Vikings defensive lineman, has been arrested for probable cause DWI in Minneapolis.
Griffen was booked into the Hennepin County Jail at 12:59 a.m. Wednesday and according to the Minnesota State Patrol’s report, Griffen was stopped by a trooper at about 11:35 p.m. Tuesday after driving a Bentley Bentaga “at a high rate of speed” southbound on Interstate 35W at 50th Street in Minneapolis.
The report provided to Inside the Vikings says Griffen “showed signs of impairment” and charges for DWI are pending.
Griffen has multiple traffic offenses on his record, including a drunk-driving charge from 2023 that ultimately led to him signing a plea deal this past February.
Griffen admitted via the plea agreement that he drove “carelessly” and “at a high rate of speed while weaving in and out of lanes of traffic, after consuming alcohol” on July 22, 2023. Court documents alleged that he was driving a 1968 Pontiac LeMans on Powers Boulevard near Utica Lane in Chanhassen at an estimated speed of 60 mph in a 40 mph zone, while also illegally passing vehicles as a deputy attempted to catch up.
