Breaking: Leicester has “agreed” to sign a “glorious” player.

Now that the January transfer season is well into its second half, Leicester City has had a rather quiet start to it. After spending time on loan at Sheffield United, Luke Thomas returned to the team ahead of schedule, while Daniel Iversen, the custodian, was sent on a permanent basis to Stoke City.

Of course, Enzo Maresca’s ability to conduct business is not essential. At the top of the Championship, Leicester is now seven points ahead of Ipswich and ten ahead of Southampton in third position. With their current roster, they appear more than capable of getting promoted.

Nevertheless, the manager is optimistic that they can build from a strong position before the deadline of February 1st. He’s stated out loud that the Foxes ‘like’ Stefano Sensi at Inter, but the club has to sell before they can purchase. There has been progress in the negotiations between Leicester and Inter about a deal.

Sensi deal: Leicester shake hands
Sensi and Leicester have “agreed” on a deal in principle, according to Sky Sports News. The fundamental framework is in place, but the club still needs to make room in their roster before moving forward with the deal.

Leicester needs to sign “glorious” and sell Thomas. Sensi After a brief loan stint at San Siro, Sensi moved from Sassuolo to Inter in 2020. Since then, he has been on loan at Sampdoria and Monza. Despite only making 56 appearances with the Nerazzurri, he has 142 games of Serie A experience. He has only made three substitute appearances this season totaling just 28 minutes of league play, and he has missed 13 full games due to injury. Since his contract is set to end this summer, Inter has a strong motive to pay him this month rather than risk losing him for nothing.

He’s been called a “glorious, glorious footballer” by journalist Jack Collins. Although he hasn’t really had a chance to showcase his skills at Inter, the nine-cap international enjoyed a strong season at Monza. Raffaele Palladino’s team used him as a sort of midfield hub as he rated third for passes completed (60.5) and second for passes received per 90 (61.3).
