Chase Elliott is determined to end his winless streak at Michigan
Michigan has been the playing ground for Ford drivers as for the past two decades, more than a dozen races have been won by Ford drivers. On the other hand, Chevy drivers are not also far behind as the manufacturer has claimed nine wins in the same time span. However, the Chevrolet drivers are keen on moving this number in their balance and winning the 10th race for the manufacturer this weekend at the track.
While Chevy drivers are eager to win the race, Chase Elliott has emerged as the prime candidate for the victory. The 28-year-old admitted that he had never won around Michigan, but his track record has been fairly impressive as he has finished runners-up multiple times. However, this time, he wants to do one up his best result here and win the race after a winless streak since his last victory in Texas.
I’ve never done it, but I have to imagine it’d be pretty cool, with it being a home race for Team Chevy and with Michigan being what it is. I think that would be a huge deal and I’d love to check that box for them. And I know every driver does for every manufacturer, whoever you’re driving for. It would be a really cool thing, and I’d love to add that to the list of accomplishments. Chase Elliott said in an interview
Chase Elliott’s HM would be donning a special livery at Atlanta
While the HM driver readies up for the race in Michigan, Elliott has raced quite a few liveries throughout the season. However, his livery in the first round of playoffs would be quite special for multiple reasons.
The former Cup Series champion would be sporting the Desi9n To Drive livery at Atlanta. Moreover, the livery has been designed by Cancer and blood disorder children across the states and they chose the slogan, “We Are Warriors” in the children’s fighting spirit. This initiative is applauded by Elliott who claimed that his race at Atlanta would be just more special with the paint scheme.
The DESI9N TO DRIVE schemes are my favorite of the year and I always look forward to spending time with the patients before the race and hearing their stories and feeling their love for life. Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta does so much good for the local community and continues to expand their facilities. To partner at my home track with Atlanta-based NAPA makes this even more special. Chase Elliott said in a press release by the team
On the other hand, the No.9 driver is currently focused on acing the race in Michigan. He would be trying to bring back glory in the Chevy camp to take the challenge on to Ford. Thus, he would be a force to be reckoned with come the race day.
