El Sevilla fichará de nuevo al centrocampista de la Premier League por 8 millones de euros: “Esperamos cerrar el acuerdo en uno o dos días”
Before the summer transfer window opened, Sevilla faced a pressing issue in their central midfield. The squad had only two senior midfielders: Djibril Sow and Joan Jordan, with only Sow in head coach Francisco Javier Garcia Pimienta’s plans.
This shortage highlighted the urgent need for reinforcements in this critical area of the team.
Sporting director Victor Orta has responded effectively to this need.
However, their efforts to strengthen the squad are set to continue with the imminent signing of Lucien Agoume.
Agoume, a 22-year-old midfielder, is poised to make his move to Sevilla permanent after a successful loan spell during the latter part of the previous season.
According to local reports, Sevilla is set to pay Inter Milan €8 million for 50% of Agoume’s rights. They will also have the option to acquire an additional 40% of his rights next summer for another €4 million.
Agoume’s return is timely, particularly as Sambi Lokonga is expected to be sidelined for 3-4 weeks due to a hamstring injury.
The deal is anticipated to be finalized within the next few days, further solidifying Sevilla’s midfield as they prepare for the upcoming season.
