Exclusive; Roger Federer sheds light on his relationship with his wife and four children
Federer is currently in San Francisco to announce the 2025 Laver Cup, which will be held in the city. The event will be held at the Chase Center, home of the famous NBA team Golden State Warriors.
In an interview with NBC Bay Area, Roger Federer said that he is looking forward to exploring the city when he returns in 2025. He also said that his twin daughters, Myla Rose and Charlene, and twin sons, Lenny and Leo, have already expressed a desire to attend the 2025 Laver Cup with him.
“I hope so. . When I left home yesterday, I told them that I would do to San Francisco.” They said, “San Francisco? Why?” she replied.
When asked about his best parenting advice, the 20-time Grand Slam champion emphasized the importance of making sure her children know they are loved. He also realized that as they got older, he and Mirka needed to provide guidance and support and give them independence and space to grow.
“So we have twin boys who are almost 10 and twin girls who are almost 15 years old . . ,” Federer said. “I think it’s important to give them love [so] they know you were there when they were young.”
“And now that they’re older, we try to give them the right advice and guide them in the right things. direction direction, but we also have to let them fly themselves. And it’s hard, hard as a parent, but I’m doing my best,” he added.
In addition, Federer shed light on his relationship with his children. alluding to the great dynamic they share, but also acknowledged their occasional “little fight” because his kids weren’t always eager to listen to him.
“We have a great relationship, but we also have some fights. They don’t listen to me all the time day, every day, but that’s okay, we keep trying. We’re trying to do our best,” he said.
