For Oliver Glasner, the end of this Premier League season is something he won’t want to come given the form he’s got his side in.However the season will wait for nobody and now there is just one game remaining this season, coming next Sunday against Aston Villa.Saturday saw an impressive 3-1 win over Wolves which also means Crystal Palace have risen to 12th in the table and still in with a chance of catching Brighton.But for all the positives right now, there was one moment from the game which wasn’t ideal, now Glasner has shared his verdict.For Will Hughes, Saturday saw his game and potentially season ended in the 15th minute as he had to be withdrawn due to injury.It was a painful one and saw him replaced by Naouirou Ahamada who was far from impressive.After the game, however, Glasner revealed that Hughes was actually in tears from the injury while speaking to BBC Sport.

“We hope it’s not too serious, it was a knee-to-knee. He had his leg in the air but there was tears. He has pain but we hope it is not too serious.”

Due to the timing of the injury, even a minor one could be the end of his season. But it won’t be the last we see of Glasner as he’s already had a one-year contract extension triggered.How can Crystal Palace replace Hughes vs Villa?The injury to Hughes is the latest selection blow for Glasner in midfield as he now has several unavailable for the final day of the Lerma, Cheick Doucoure and now Hughes are all injured while Ahamada is suspended.This leaves Adam Wharton all alone and needing a partner, but the question is who Glasner decides to put in there for the final game.well appearance as he’s departing for free this summer.However, the best choice and name fans would be keen to see is David Ozoh who’s barely had a sniff since Glasner arrived. Now, circumstance could be his best friend, but he’ll need to take his chance if it comes.
