Francesco Bagnaia Triumphs in Lenovo Race of Champions Amidst Drama and Cheers
Francesco Bagnaia emerged victorious in the third edition of the Lenovo Race of Champions, held yesterday.
The event, part of the World Ducati Week celebrations, featured a few dramatic moments involving Nicolò Bulega and Bagnaia’s future MotoGP teammate, Marc Márquez.
Despite these incidents, the two-time MotoGP World Champion remained unfazed and secured a commanding win.
Bagnaia, who also leads the MotoGP standings this season, was
“First of all, I want to say that it was fantastic seeing so many people in the grandstands,” he said. “I was even able to hear people cheering, although I had the helmet on while racing; it was really incredible.”
Reflecting on the race, Bagnaia expressed his enjoyment and eagerness to push the limits of his Ducati Panigale V4.
“The race was great; I enjoyed it a lot. I couldn’t understand what the gap was, so I just pushed a lot and had a lot of fun,” he noted.
“I am very happy to have tried the new Panigale V4 here in Misano, and I really look forward to training on it from now on.”
The event showcased not only Bagnaia’s skill and competitive spirit but also the vibrant atmosphere of World Ducati Week, affirming its status as a major highlight in the motorsport calendar.
