In an interview posted on the Packers’ social media account, LaFleur answered questions from Larry McCarren regarding the schedule. He said that he and the team were excited to be able to put their plan for the season into action.
When asked about six of their first eight games being played at noon, LaFleur said, “They better wake up with their p— hot,” meaning the players better wake up ready to play ball.
It certainly is strange to see so many noon games so early in the season and all grouped together as they are. Later in the season, the Packers play a stretch of several primetime games in a row, and could have one more added depending on when the NFL schedules their matchup with the Bears in Week 18.
