Jan Ullrich speaks on his good relationship with lance armstrong among all controversy

 

In a recent interview with German broadcaster WDR, former cycling champion Jan Ullrich opened up about his past and the impact of his documentary, “Der Gejagte.” His frankness reveals the deep-seated struggles of a man whose career was marred by the pervasive doping culture in professional cycling.

Ullrich, once a rival of the infamous Lance Armstrong, shared that he was eager to hear Armstrong’s reflections after his own confession of doping. Ullrich remarked, “People have to understand that doping was systemic. The sponsors knew everything. I was well paid, although I wouldn’t call it silence. often raised eyebrows, and he was named in reports concerning doping violations during the notorious 1998 Tour de France. Acknowledging this dark chapter, Ullrich expressed a need for change: “I had to change something in my life, so I decided to talk about it. It was good for me; the burden was lifted and now I can move on.”
