Jorge Martín Reflects on His MotoGP Future with Aprilia Racing Ahead of 2025 Season…
After clinching the 2024 MotoGP World Championship, Jorge Martín is ready to take on a new challenge as he joins Aprilia Racing for the 2025 season. However, the Spanish rider enters this new chapter with a clear mindset: no specific expectations. Speaking to Marca Martín emphasized his commitment to hard work, acknowledging the uncertainty that comes with switching to a new team. “I’m convinced that we will give our maximum and I have no expectations, because that I have to see, I have to see how the bike is,” he stated, underscoring the unpredictable nature of the sport.
Reflecting on the previous season, Martín noted that although Aprilia finished third in the Constructors’ Championship, the team still faces significant challenges. While Aprilia has shown moments of brilliance, including impressive podium finishes, there have been races where their performance has been inconsistent, leaving the team outside the top spots. Martín highlighted this as one of the key areas that needs addressing, while also showing confidence in the potential for improvement.
“I think I can give a lot to the new factory, I can bring consistency, speed, but it’s clear, what we all saw, that there are races where we didn’t see them and races where they were in 15th,” he admitted. This candid reflection illustrates his realistic approach to the season ahead, balancing optimism with the awareness of the work required.
Despite the challenges, Martín expressed a strong belief in the support and passion of the Aprilia team. “I think the warmth of the whole factory and the heart they put into it will help me and we will be able to do beautiful things, for sure,” he concluded. His words reflect his determination to contribute to the team’s growth and success, driven by the collective spirit of Aprilia Racing.
As the 2025 season looms, all eyes will be on Martín’s debut with Aprilia, where the former World Champion will look to build upon his experience, tackle the challenges ahead, and help propel the Italian manufacturer to new heights in the MotoGP championship. With his consistency, speed, and focus on teamwork, Martín’s transition to Aprilia could be the spark needed to elevate both his own career and the team’s competitive edge.
