Kyle Busch Takes a Note Out of the New Parents Book as there both shared why They Follow Tony Stewart and Leah Pruett’s Vacation Plans

 

After a tough 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season, Kyle Busch is making the most of the off-season by spending quality time with his family on the West Coast. The 39-year-old driver, alongside his wife Samantha and their two children, Brexton and Lennix, took a well-deserved break to soak up the sun and explore some of California’s major cities over Thanksgiving. For a family who has experienced their share of ups and downs, this getaway provided a perfect opportunity to unwind and reconnect before the 2025 racing season.

It has been a challenging year for Kyle Busch on the track. For the first time in 19 years, the Richard Childress Racing driver finished the Cup Series season without a win, breaking a long-standing streak of annual victories. Despite coming close on several occasions—most notably at Atlanta, Darlington, and Daytona—Busch was unable to secure a victory. His frustrations with the season left him needing a mental reset, and what better way to clear his head than a beachside retreat with his family?

The Busch family’s West Coast adventure was captured in an Instagram reel shared by Samantha Busch, showcasing a lighthearted moment with their son, Brexton. In the video, Brexton is seen approaching the

cold waters of the Pacific Ocean, even though the temperature was far from inviting. When asked why he was wet, the nine-year-old responded, “Because I was in the pool,” explaining that the pool had been a comfortable 97°F. In contrast, the ocean was a chilly 20 degrees cooler. Despite the stark temperature difference, the father-son duo couldn’t resist running into the freezing waters together, a fun and spontaneous moment that captured the spirit of their holiday.

The Busch family wasn’t the only NASCAR duo enjoying some time away. Tony Stewart and his wife, Leah Pruett, have been in the United Kingdom with their newborn son, Dominic James Stewart. The couple shared glimpses of their trip, including watching a cold swim across the English Channel, adding a bit of competitive spirit to their own off-season adventures.

Despite the holiday fun, Kyle Busch hasn’t been entirely out of racing action. He’s been competing in Midget Racing during the off-season, keeping his competitive edge sharp for the 2025 season. His recent debut at the Bakersfield Midget Racing event saw him leading for several laps before his race ended in heartbreak with sparks flying from his car’s exhaust. While it was a frustrating result, Busch remains focused on his goal of competing in the 2025 Chili Bowl, an iconic event in the world of dirt racing.

For now, though, the Busch family is enjoying their time in the sun, taking a much-needed break to relax, recharge, and look ahead to a new season. After a year full of challenges, it’s clear that the off-season has provided the perfect chance for Rowdy and his family to step back, reflect, and gear up for what’s next.
