“I think that two weekends on the same track is worse for everybody, because the second weekend will be on the limit from the FP1. You will start in the FP1 with the wrong front tyre because you need to. And you’ll struggle a lot, you already reached the limit, so you want to pass the limit. So I think it’s difficult for everybody.”

The repetitive nature of the event means that teams will have to navigate the challenges of setup adjustments and tire choices, as they will be pushing the limits from the very first practice session. This repeated exposure to the same circuit could lead to heightened wear on equipment and increased pressure on riders to optimize their performance each time they hit the track.

However, Bagnaia remains optimistic about his chances. He pointed out that racing at home has its advantages. “The good thing is that it’s at home, so I know the track and I’ll try to manage it well. The second one will be better for my condition for sure. But it’s not easy for anyone to have two weekends on the same circuit.” His familiarity with Misano is expected to be a significant asset, allowing him to leverage his knowledge and experience to better adapt to the track conditions.

Additionally, Bagnaia embraces the home crowd’s energy and support, viewing it as a positive force. “The pressure is always something that pushes you to do something more.

I love to be at home, I love to see the fans around, and here the fans are very noisy. So I think it’s great for the Italians.” This enthusiastic support from local fans is likely to boost his morale and performance.
