Placebo to tour UK with new line-up alongside unreleased track
Placebo will embark on their biggest UK and Ireland tour in February with a debut line after announcing that drummer Steve Forrest has left the band.
The new line-up will consist of Brian Molko, Stefan Olsdal and new touring drummer and former Colour Of Fire member Matt Lunn. Placebo said that former drummer Forrest, who joined the group in 2008, left to “pursue his own musical ambitions” and that “the departure was amicable”.
“Brian Molko and Stefan Olsdal would like to thank Steve for all his work with the band and wish him all the very best in his future career,” a press release added.
Placebo will kick off their UK tour in Dublin on February 25, before heading to Belfast and Edinburgh later in the month.
