The Fourth of July weekend roared to life at the iconic RedBud MX track in Buchanan, Michigan, where fans were treated to a jaw-dropping spectacle of dirt, grit, and heart-pounding action. From bar-banging battles to whip-heavy jumps, the RedBud National once again delivered the kind of fireworks only motocross can provide—and this year’s edition might just go down as one of the most photogenic yet.

This past weekend, MotoOnline’s lenses were locked and loaded to capture the pure essence of Pro Motocross: the raw power of 450cc machines digging into deep Michigan loam, the graceful chaos of riders mid-air, and the ever-intense emotional highs and lows that play out on the track. Whether you were trackside with your RedBud shirt on or catching the race from afar, these moments bring you right back into the heart of the action.

From Deep Ruts to Full Sends

RedBud is known for its rugged terrain and demanding rhythm sections, and this year’s race was no different. The ruts in the corners were thigh-deep, chewing up even the most seasoned riders, while the massive uphill triple—the iconic LaRocco’s Leap—once again separated the brave from the hesitant.

Our shots from the weekend captured everything from dramatic saves to triumphant celebrations. One standout image shows a 250cc rider nearly sideways in a deep corner, dirt flying as the back tire struggles to grip—a moment frozen in time that perfectly summarizes the technical challenge RedBud presents.

Another frame-grabber? A blistering launch off the leap, the rider perfectly timed in mid-air against a blazing Midwest sky, with fans waving flags in the distance. It’s motocross majesty.

Stars Shine, Rookies Rise

Among the elite riders, big names like Jett Lawrence, Chase Sexton, and Eli Tomac put on a clinic, but the surprise performances came from younger up-and-comers making their mark. Our gallery captures several pivotal battles, including side-by-side duels down the roller section and explosive holeshot starts that had the crowd on its feet.

Emotion was everywhere—on the faces of riders who crashed and got back up, mechanics wrenching feverishly in the pits, and fans screaming in jubilation as their favorites crossed the finish line. And yes, the podium shots were golden: roost-stained jerseys, champagne showers, and proud teams hoisting their riders up with joy.

Atmosphere: Americana and Adrenaline

Of course, no RedBud experience is complete without the fanfare. Our lens caught families grilling beside RVs, red-white-and-blue outfits galore, and kids waving “BRAAAP!” signs with homemade glitter. The Fourth of July setting adds an extra layer of energy to this race every year, and the patriotism was on full display.

Even between motos, the camera kept rolling—capturing pit lane prep, riders chatting with fans, and spontaneous mini-whip contests by local riders near the fence. These candid slices of life are what make Pro Motocross more than just racing—it’s a community, a culture, and a tradition.
