TAMPA, Fla. — Lead trainer Peter Laviolette has dealt with Zac Jones like the officer he’s been for the Officers the entire season. Notwithstanding obtaining another competitor for the seventh defenseman job on schedule in Chad Ruhwedel, Laviolette actually went to Jones as his next man up when commander Jacob Trouba was projected to miss half a month with a lower-body injury.
