ROYAL RECONCILIATION : Prince Harry demands apology for Meghan , Williams disowns…
Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, is said to be ready to reconcile with the royal family, but a prominent royal commentator says his efforts face opposition from King Charles and Prince William.
Relations between Harry, his wife Meghan Markle and the rest of the Windsors have been strained since the couple stepped back from their royal duties and made a series of accusations against the company in their Netflix documentary series, Harry Spare’s memoir and several television interviews.
Jennie Bond, a former royal correspondent for the BBC, spoke about the current state of the royal family. When asked who is standing in the way of reconciliation between the Duke of Sussex and the Windsors, Bond said it does not appear to be coming from Harry’s side. “First Harry demanded an apology,” he explained, adding that there is no state of mind or reality until an apology is made for offending his wife Meghan.
However, Bond believes the tables have turned a bit recently. “Harry has sent messages that at least he’s ready to forgive and that he loves his family. He’s been quite open about it. He wants to see them more,” she revealed.
Despite Harry’s apparent willingness to mend fences, King Charles and Prince William appear to be against reconciliation at this point.
Asked if such an attitude is in line with what is known about Prince William’s character, Bond believed that once the Prince of Wales had made up his mind, it would be very difficult to convince him He hoped for a reconciliation over the years, admitting that while time can be a healer, it can also lead to people feeling entrenched.
Bond’s comments come after Harry’s recent visit to the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games, where he did not see his brother or the Duke of Sussex and the lack of communication between his closest family members during this trip has fueled speculation about continued rifts within the royal family.Relations between Harry and the Windsors have been strained since he and Meghan Markle stepped back from her royal roles and aired her grievances through various media outlets. The couple’s accusations against the royal family undoubtedly contributed to the current situation, making the road to reconciliation difficult. As of now, it appears that while Prince Harry is ready to extend an olive branch and forgive, King Charles and Prince William are not yet ready to reciprocate.
The ruler and heir to the throne seems to hold onto his grievances, making it difficult for the family to move on and heal from past hurts.
Royal experts and the public are closely watching the royal family’s progress in hopes of finding a solution to the ongoing controversy. But when both sides seem entrenched in their positions, bridging the gap and achieving true reconciliation can take a lot of time and effort..
