Eli Tomac Joins CDR Yamaha for the 2024 FIM World Supercross Championship
In a major announcement for the FIM World Supercross Championship (WSX), eight-time AMA Motocross and Supercross champion Eli Tomac will join the CDR Yamaha team for the 2024 season.
Tomac will race aboard a factory Yamaha YZ450F, marking a significant boost to the series’ excitement and competitiveness.

PulpMx’s Steve Matthes has hinted that a new deal for Tomac in 2025 is expected to be announced later this week, adding further intrigue to his racing future.
Tomac’s involvement with WSX is particularly noteworthy because he made history at the British GP in October 2022 by winning the inaugural WSX race. Since then, he has not competed in the series, but he will return for the entire 2024 season.
The WSX series kicks off on October 26th in Vancouver, Canada, and will include additional rounds in Perth, Australia, and Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
