steffi graff on reasons as she revealed the reasons behind her low key romantic life
Steffi Graf, one of tennis’s greatest champions with 22 Grand Slam singles titles, has always been known for her private and low-key romantic life. In a 2000 interview, Graf revealed that her shyness and intense focus on tennis were major factors in her lack of public relationships until her marriage to fellow tennis legend Andre Agassi.
Graf explained that she didn’t think about boys until she was around 20, as her tennis career kept her too busy. “The tennis kept me too busy and focused,” she said, adding that her shy personality also made her less inclined to go out and date casually. Instead, Graf preferred long-term relationships based on trust and mutual understanding.
Before Agassi, Graf had two serious relationships: one with an American photographer early in her career and another with German racecar driver Michael Bartels,
In 1999, Graf met Agassi, and the two began dating. They married in 2001 and have since built a family together. Despite their tennis fame, the couple has kept their personal life largely private, focusing on raising their children and enjoying a quiet, fulfilling life away from the spotlight.
